As a Project Manager at Ricardo, you will be responsible for successfully leading a number of medium complexity, fast paced projects simultaneously on behalf of diverse global Customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting a project or a number of projects, with significant revenue, working cross functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, assembly, commercial and others to support Ricardo’s Customers over the lifecycle of their project.
- Responsible for delivery, commercial exposure, opportunities and risks whilst delivering cutting edge solutions to our Customers.
- Account management for some customers through the whole lifecycle of programmes.
- Being the Customer interface for the project, establishing effective Customer relationships: this will include leading project reviews, creation and management of timing plans, minutes and budget ownership.
- Managing and monitoring project scope and leading customer negotiations on change with guidance from a senior manager.
- Reporting on commercial / financial / project health internally.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in adherence with Ricardo’s internal project management policies and procedures.
Required Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Automotive project delivery experience, preferably within motorsport drive train project delivery.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate a proven record of delivering fast paced projects to deadlines, excellent quality and costs with customer satisfaction.
- Possess business acumen and the ability to implement business and / or technical principles effectively.
- Maintain clear communication and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively at a range of levels.
- Excellent stakeholder management & communication.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project.
- Aptitude for logical, methodical problem-solving using techniques such as 8D etc.
Desirable
- APM member, ideally at full level or working toward it or similar.
- Able to demonstrate continuous learning throughout their career.
- Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems.
Additional/special features of the role
To be based from the Leamington Spa office with occasional travel throughout the EU.
