Are you passionate about working with policymakers all over the world to help tackle a wide range of challenges relating to energy and climate change? If so, we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for Analyst Consultants with a ‘can-do’ approach and a background in natural sciences, economics, engineering or energy to join our vibrant multi-national team within our Policy, Strategy and Economics (PSE) Practice. You will be working on critical policy areas to enable governments, business and citizens to address tomorrow’s challenges, policy studies for a range of clients including the European Commission, national governments, international financial institutions (IFIs), trade associations and individual companies.
You must have strong quantitative and qualitative research skills and an interest in continuous learning. If you want to develop skills in industrial decarbonisation and competitiveness, energy efficiency and transition, performance of energy related products/systems, carbon capture, utilisation and storage, hydrogen, energy communities or energy markets and carbon border adjustment mechanisms then Ricardo is the place for you!
The Role
- Support project delivery through data analysis, stakeholder engagement, literature reviews, and report writing.
- Work on multiple exciting projects, managing your time and contributions effectively.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to provide actionable solutions for climate-focused policy, strategy, and economics challenges.
- Gain valuable skills in research, economic analysis, and client-facing communication.
What We’re Looking For
- An MSc degree in Science, Law, Engineering, Economics, Political Economy, International Development, Energy Technology or related fields.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise data to support evidence-based solutions.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word are key).
- Proficiency using AI tools.
- A collaborative mindset - you’re a team player who thrives in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Fluency in English (Spanish required for roles in Madrid; other languages are a plus).
