Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of sales invoices including compliance with VAT guidance.
- Responsibility for complex invoicing processes, including external and intercompany invoicing from overseas subsidiary companies.
- Escalation point for queries or issues with sales invoicing.
- Ensure credit notes are approved in line with company policy.
- Preparation of monthly reporting on sales invoicing statistics for presentation to management, including analysis of credit notes raised and team performance vs KPIs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to maximise the efficiency of the sales invoicing function.
- Ensure purchase invoices are processed within agreed guidance.
- Ensure employee expenses and credit/purchase cards are processed within agreed guidance.
- Resolve queries from employees and suppliers and proactively deal with account discrepancies.
- Support preparation of weekly payment runs.
- Preparation of monthly reports including PSA data, control account reconciliations and analysis.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Strong computer skills, especially within Excel and Outlook.
- Experience of using accounting software.
- Good knowledge of HMRC guidance on VAT.
Desirable Competencies and Experience
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent.
- Experience of Agresso/Unit 4 ERP and Microsoft Dynamics.
