We are seeking a CNC 5 Axis Machining Technician, to increase our capability / capacity in this area. This role involves working in a small team to deliver high quality transmission components, mainly for the motorsport / aerospace industries, with a right first-time philosophy. You will be supported by our EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming, as well as your team leader.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Proven ability to produce components from technical drawings and planning route cards to a high standard, working to tight tolerances and within routed timeframes.
- Strong experience machining a variety of materials on 4- and 5-axis CNC machines.
- Proficient in reading and understanding Fanuc/ISO programming machine code; capable of on-machine programming with support from offline programmers.
- Able to read, understand, and edit CNC programmes, including adjusting speeds and feeds as required.
- Skilled in using measuring equipment to inspect parts against planning and drawing specifications.
- Able to deburr and fettle components during production to meet required standards.
- Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach to team support, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Flexible in supporting other areas of manufacturing operations.
- Willingness to work overtime and operate multiple machines to meet KPIs and delivery deadlines.
- Knowledge of wire erosion is advantageous but not essential.

Salary
Contractor rate £22.06 inclusive of shift premium / Permanent salary c£42,000 - £43,000 inclusive of shift premium.
