We are currently looking for a Graduate Consultant to join our Rail team. This role will provide the perfect first step into a consultancy career in an exciting and rapidly changing sector. From day one you'll be part of a team supporting more senior consultants in delivering projects to clients.

The successful applicant will have excellent numeracy and analytical skills gained from an engineering background, strong writing skills, a proactive, organised approach and a commitment to producing high quality work with a high level of attention to detail.

The Role

As a Graduate Consultant, you will manage your time across several projects, contributing at all phases - from supporting the preparation of proposals to win new contracts, through delivering the project and liaising with clients. You will be responsible for the quality and delivery of your work, and liaise with other consultants to incorporate your contribution into wider project outputs.

We will also devote time to help you acquire valuable client management techniques and important 'soft' skills – delivering presentations, project management, people management etc. – to build up your commercial strengths.

Key Competencies And Experience

  • A relevant engineering degree such as electrical, mechanical, systems or railway engineering discipline (or working towards that).
  • An interest in the rail sector.
  • The desire to work on a variety of projects in multidisciplinary teams.
  • The ambition and confidence to become a technical consultant and a future leader.
  • The conviction that you can make a real difference to people's lives and their environment through your expertise.
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with client-focus and a hands-on approach.
