We are looking for an experienced Power Strategy specialist to join our Energy team. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a profound impact, driving the transition towards a cleaner and greener world.

Your role will be to provide guidance and strategic advice to existing and new clients in navigating the complex world of power regulation, markets, renewable energy, and grid interconnection. You will be a trusted advisor, supporting regulators, developers, investors, and power users in making informed decisions that align with their sustainability goals.

As a Power Strategy Consultant / Senior Consultant, your responsibilities include:

  • Producing cost-benefit analyses for clean power infrastructure on behalf of asset owners/investors
  • Supporting regulators in designing and/or reforming power market platforms
  • Helping develop corporate strategies and integrated resource plans for power utilities
  • Assessing and advising on diversification of investment portfolios for renewable IPPs and articulating procurement strategies

We encourage you to apply if you have the following key competencies and significant, demonstrable experience:

Must have:

  • University and master’s degree in energy economics/economic regulation, electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of power markets, energy policy frameworks, and technical regulations
  • Understanding of the complete energy ecosystem from generation, transmission, distribution, and associated infrastructure, with the ability to conceptualize solutions for prospective clients
  • Familiarity with power regulation frameworks and market design topics
  • Experience with energy system modeling and use of least-cost planning and dispatch tools (e.g., PLEXOS)
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with an aptitude for complex analysis, statistics, and large data sets
  • Native or professional-level proficiency in English

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with financial and/or economic analysis of renewable power and hydrogen projects
  • Proven track record in project management and team leadership
  • Experience with public and private sector clients
  • Knowledge of renewable power resource assessment, optimal mix identification (solar, wind, BESS, hydro, etc.), and techno-economic evaluation for system configuration
