Health Club at peak of fitness seeks skilled and dependable Head Lifeguard. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Lifeguard based in The Health Club. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who possesses a current National Poolside Lifeguard qualification and has experience working in a swimming pool environment.
Interested in: A hard-working, committed and highly dedicated Head Lifeguard who is keen to always ensure the safety of our swimmers, while delivering an excellent Guest and Member experience and ensuring swimmers adhere to pool rules and regulations. The Head Lifeguard will work with the team and hold responsibility for performing the following tasks to the highest standards. (Pool plant room experience is desirable.)
Responsibilities:- Supervising and ensuring the safety of all swimmers and users, in line with NPLQ guidelines
- Supervision of Lifeguards on shift
- Maintaining Service Standards, including numbers/ratio in pool
- Conducting and supervising pool plant checks
- Ensure Daily Opening/Closing Checklists are adhered and completed
- One to One training of new starters (Coaching & Development)
- Checking facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Following emergency action plan and procedures when required
- NPLQ Qualification is a requirement of this role.
- The confidence to help any pool users in difficulty or in need.
- First Aid skills to offer help to any member of the public should they require treatment.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Flexibility, determination and the ability to cope well under pressure.
- Time management skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.
- Enthusiasm and the desire to provide a fantastic customer service.
- Excellent team working skills as the role of a Lifeguard can only be done successfully as part of a team.
- Immaculate personal presentation and hygiene standards.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check due to the nature of the business.
Availability:We have 1 full time permanent position available, offering 35 hours per week, in a department that operates 7 days a week. Full flexibility to work weekends, early mornings and evenings is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.
Salary:We are proud to offer salaries in excess of the National Minimum Wage.
