The role requires someone calm, organised and confident managing a busy medical provision.\ N \n Welfare Lead | Key Details\ N \n Immediate start\n \ N 36 hours per week, term-time only\ N \n Actual salary £26,399-£26,773\ N \n Based in Pimlico, Westminster\ N \n Responsible for student welfare, first aid and medical support\ N \n Excellent CPD, staffbenefits and career development available\ N \n Welfare Lead | The Role\ N \n Lead the schools welfare and medical provision\ N \n Act as the main point of contact for student medical needs\ N \n Provide first aid, welfare and day-to-day medical support\ N \n Manage the medical room, medication records and medical supplies\ N \n Support students with ongoing, complex or long-term medical needs\ N \n Lead on Individual Healthcare Plans and medical documentation\ N \n Provide intimate care and catheter care where trained and required\ N \n Work closely with the DSL, SENDCo, pastoral team, parents and healthcare professionals\ N \n Maintain accurate, confidential records in line with safeguarding and GDPR\ N \n Welfare Lead | Candidate Requirements\ N \n Experience providingfirst aid, welfare or medical support\ N \n Experience working with children or young people\ N \n Comfortable supporting students with complex medical needs\ N \n Catheter care experience is desirable, but training can be provided\ N \n Strong organisation,record-keeping and communication skills\ N \n Calm under pressureand confident responding to medical incidents\ N \n Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries\ N \n Healthcare, first aid, nursing, childcare or welfare qualification desirable\ N \n This Welfare Lead role would suit someone who is practical, discreet and confident taking responsibility for student medical care in a busy secondary school environment.\ N \n Ribbons
