Learning Mentor – SEMH School – Surrey – Immediate Start Are you the person that every young person seems to trust?

This specialist secondary SEMH school in Surrey is looking for an outstanding Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 11-16 who have experienced significant barriers to education.

Many students have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma or adverse childhood experiences, meaning relationships come before results.

Learning Mentor – What the School Offers A therapeutic, relationship-led approach to education Small classes with exceptional staffing ratios Extensive training in SEMH, behaviour and trauma-informed practice Genuine progression into pastoral, behaviour and safeguarding roles Full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity Learning Mentor – What the Role Involves As a Learning Mentor, you'll become a consistent adult for pupils who need stability, encouragement and belief.

Supporting students in lessons, during interventions and around the school, you'll help them regulate emotions, build confidence and re-engage with learning while working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff.

Learning Mentor – What the School is Looking For The school is looking for resilient, patient and emotionally intelligent individuals who can build trust and remain calm under pressure.

Experience in education is welcomed, but backgrounds in youth work, mentoring, residential care, coaching or similar environments are equally valued.
