The ideal candidate will hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university and have prior child‑centred experience, ideally within an SLD or complex needs setting. Schools are particularly interested in candidates who hold, or are willing to complete, SLD‑relevant training, such as:

  • Manual Handling / Moving & Handling
  • Personal Care training
  • Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Team Teach or equivalent de‑escalation training
  • Safeguarding Level 1 or above
  • Makaton or alternative communication methods

  • ÂŁ444 per week, pro rata to term time only
  • Full‑time, long‑term role (January–July)
