This role is within one of the highest‑performing primary schools in Lambeth, which educates approximately 470 pupils aged 3‑11. The school consistently achieves outcomes significantly above national averages, with over 85% of pupils meeting the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined. Around 15% of pupils receive SEND support, with approximately 3% holding an EHCP. The Primary Teaching Assistant will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment in literacy and numeracy. The role involves working with small groups and individual pupils requiring additional support, assisting children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs, and helping teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and assessment activities. The Primary Teaching Assistant will help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree from a leading UK university. Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
