Based at one of our supportive partner schools in Croydon, you will work alongside experienced teachers and school leaders, receiving ongoing training and development throughout your role. Working both in-class and through targeted intervention sessions, you will play a key role in raising attainment, building confidence and helping students develop the skills needed to become successful, independent learners.
Job Summary
- Initial 1-Year contract commencing September 2026
- FTE £27,500 (Pro-rata to £20,000-£22,000 term-time only / 39 week contract)
- £450-£500 per week | £90-£100 per day | Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- Mainstream Secondary School in Croydon
- Supporting students across Years 7-11, with opportunities to work with Sixth Form students

Job Description
- Providing in-class academic support across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on English, Mathematics and Science.
- Delivering 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions to raise attainment and close knowledge gaps.
- Supporting students with revision strategies, study skills, exam preparation and independent learning techniques.
- Breaking down barriers to learning and helping students develop confidence in their academic abilities.
- Extending the knowledge and understanding of high-potential learners through targeted challenge and enrichment.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff on attainment and engagement.
- Building positive relationships with students, acting as a role model who promotes a love of learning and academic success.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management and resource preparation where required.
Person Specification
- A high-achieving graduate with exceptional academic credentials, ideally in English, Mathematics, Science or a related subject.
- Passionate about education and eager to share your subject knowledge with the next generation.
- Aspiring Teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience before Teacher Training.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
