This highly specialist primary SEND school is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary PMLD Teacher to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), complex medical needs and severe learning disabilities, the school is recognised for its nurturing, child-centred ethos and exceptional therapeutic provision. Every child follows a highly personalised curriculum, with communication, sensory development and independence at the heart of learning.

What the Role Involves

As a Primary PMLD Teacher, you'll deliver a highly personalised, sensory-based curriculum tailored to each pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan. Working closely with specialist Teaching Assistants and therapists, you'll support pupils' communication, physical development, independence and emotional wellbeing while creating an engaging, safe and stimulating learning environment where every achievement is celebrated.

What the School is Looking For

The ideal Primary PMLD Teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching pupils with complex additional needs, PMLD, SLD or Autism. The school welcomes applications from experienced SEND practitioners and outstanding mainstream teachers looking to transition into specialist education. They're seeking a patient, reflective and creative Primary PMLD Teacher who understands that meaningful progress is measured differently for every child and is committed to helping pupils reach their individual potential.
