This is a permanent Nursery Nurse role within a school rated Good by Ofsted, known for its inclusive ethos, child-centred approach, and genuine commitment to providing the highest quality early years care and education.

About the School

This Haringey primary school serves a wonderfully diverse local community and takes great pride in its Early Years provision. The nursery environment is carefully structured to balance purposeful learning with rich, imaginative play – supporting children's personal, social, and emotional development alongside early communication and literacy skills. Staff work collaboratively within a warm, professional team culture where every Nursery Nurse is valued as an essential contributor to children's earliest educational experiences. Parental engagement is a genuine strength, with strong family relationships built from the very first day.

What the School Offers

  • A well-resourced nursery environment with strong SLT and EYFS leadership support
  • Regular CPD and training opportunities specific to early years practice and child development
  • A collaborative, close-knit Early Years team with a genuinely supportive staff culture
  • Consistent safeguarding frameworks and clear behaviour guidance appropriate to nursery-age children
  • A school that values and retains its support staff, with opportunities for professional development over time

The Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you will work alongside the class teacher to deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities that support children's early development across all areas of the EYFS framework. You will observe and contribute to assessments of individual children, support daily routines, maintain a safe and welcoming nursery environment, and build warm, trusting relationships with children and their families throughout the year.

What the School is Looking For

The ideal Nursery Nurse will hold a relevant childcare qualification – CACHE Level 3, BTEC National in Children's Care, or equivalent – and have meaningful hands-on experience working with nursery-age children in a UK early years or school setting. Candidates should be proactive, patient, and passionate about early childhood development, with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Please note Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

If you are a caring and committed Nursery Nurse looking to join a warm and thriving Early Years team in Hornsey, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young children right from the very start of their educational journey.
