Mental Health Practitioner | About the Role
Do you want to make a real difference to children’s emotional well-being? We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Practitioner (THRIVE/ELSA trained) to join a supportive East London school this September.
In this role, you will:
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need additional emotional support.
- Use Thrive strategies to help children understand, express, and regulate their emotions.
- Provide a safe and structured environment where pupils can build resilience, confidence, and healthy relationships.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive school culture.
Mental Health Practitioner | What We’re Looking For
- A strong understanding of children’s social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- The ability to build trust and work empathetically with young people.
- Experience in a similar role, or training in emotional well-being strategies (Thrive qualification desirable but not essential).
- A patient, resilient, and caring approach to supporting pupils.
