- Support the Head of Department in leading a large and successful Science faculty
- Drive standards of teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Lead on curriculum development and assessment within Science
- Monitor pupil progress and implement intervention strategies
- Support and develop early career teachers within the department
The ideal Science 2iC will have:
- QTS and a strong academic background in a Science specialism
- Proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes at GCSE and ideally A-Level
- Experience supporting departmental leadership or readiness to step into a Science 2iC role
- Strong understanding of data, curriculum planning, and pedagogy
