We are a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in the London Borough of Newham looking to appoint a motivated and resilient PRU Science Teacher on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and disrupted educational journeys, the school delivers a personalised curriculum that encourages curiosity, resilience and achievement within a supportive, relationship-led environment.

What the Role Involves
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting learning to suit individual needs and abilities. Use practical and engaging teaching strategies to rebuild confidence in learning while working collaboratively with pastoral staff, behaviour mentors and external professionals to support each student's wider development.
What the School is Looking For
The successful PRU Science Teacher will hold QTS and have experience teaching Science within secondary education. Previous experience in PRU, SEMH or Alternative Provision settings would be highly advantageous. The school seeks a resilient, patient and enthusiastic practitioner who can build positive relationships and inspire students to achieve beyond their expectations.
