PMLD Teacher β What the Role Involves
You'll plan and deliver a highly personalised curriculum based around each pupil's individual needs and EHCP outcomes. You'll use sensory, practical and communication-based approaches to support engagement, independence and development, while working closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.
You'll also play an important role in creating a calm, safe and stimulating classroom where progress is recognised in all its forms.
PMLD Teacher β What the School is Looking For The ideal candidate will hold QTS and have experience teaching pupils with PMLD, SLD, complex needs or within a specialist SEND setting. Applications are also welcomed from experienced SEN Teachers looking to develop their expertise in complex needs.
The school is looking for a patient, reflective and resilient teacher who understands that working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties requires creativity, consistency and a genuinely individualised approach.
