Are you passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people to thrive academically and personally? This opportunity offers the chance to work in an inclusive specialist setting, supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and associated learning differences. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology or Specialist Teaching.

Rather than providing general classroom support, you will help pupils understand how they learn best, develop self‐advocacy skills and build confidence in an environment that celebrates neurodiversity. Working alongside experienced SEND teachers, inclusion leaders and therapists, you will support pupils using adaptive teaching strategies, executive‐functioning interventions and emotional regulation techniques to flourish inside and outside the classroom.

What the school can offer:

  • Specialist CPD covering Autism, ADHD and executive‐functioning strategies
  • Opportunities to work with educational psychologists, occupational therapists and specialist SEND professionals
  • Experience supporting pupils with a wide range of neurodivergent learning profiles
  • Training in adaptive classroom practice, cognitive scaffolding and emotional regulation
  • Small teaching groups that allow meaningful relationships with pupils
  • Excellent preparation for careers in psychology, therapy, SEND or teaching
  • Inclusive school where neurodiversity is recognised as a strength

Responsibilities:

  • Support neurodivergent pupils throughout the school day
  • Deliver structured interventions focussed on organisation, emotional regulation and independent learning
  • Help pupils develop confidence, resilience and self‐advocacy
  • Implement strategies outlined within EHCPs and personalised support plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to remove barriers to learning
  • Monitor progress and celebrate individual successes

Qualifications:

  • Hold A‐Levels (or equivalent) and a BA degree
  • Have a genuine interest in neurodiversity and inclusive education
  • Be patient, reflective and solution‐focused
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Aspire towards a career in educational psychology, occupational therapy or specialist education
