This successful secondary school educates approximately 594 pupils aged 11-16 and is consistently oversubscribed. Around 20% of pupils receive SEND support, with over 4% holding an EHCP. You will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, deliver targeted interventions in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, work with small groups and individual pupils to raise attainment, support teachers with lesson planning, practical demonstrations and classroom activities, and help prepare students for GCSE examinations. You will also contribute positively to the wider school community.
Applicants should hold a minimum 2:1 degree in a Science-related subject. Strong GCSE and A-Level Science results are highly desirable. Previous experience working with young people is advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and a genuine passion for Science education and future teaching aspirations is essential.
