This International School Math Teacher role is based at a leading independent international school in St John’s Wood and will run for the 2026-2027 school year. The school delivers an American education in an international setting, using North American educational philosophy with a global perspective.
International School Math Teacher | Key Details
• Full-time role
• ASAP start
• Fixed-term contract for the 2026-2027 school year
• Competitive salary/rate, dependent on experience
• Teaching Grade 7 Math
• Serving as a Grade 7 Advisor
• Working closely with the Middle School Principal and Math department
International School Math Teacher | The Role
• Teach four sections of Grade 7 Math
• Plan, teach and assess alongside a grade-level teaching partner
• Coordinate curriculum with the wider Math department
• Monitor student progress, prepare for parent conferences and complete reports
• Use an inquiry-based approach to teaching mathematics
• Support students’ academic, social and emotional development as a Grade 7 Advisor
• Contribute to advisory provision, school events, field trips and wider school life
International School Math Teacher | Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
• Substantive full-time experience teaching Middle School Math
• Strong understanding of differentiation and student-centred learning
• Experience supporting pupils as an Advisor or mentor
• Strong communication skills and commitment to collaboration
• Knowledge of safeguarding and student welfare
• Experience with Common Core Math, CMP or Building Thinking Classrooms is desirable
