Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant looking to take on a key role within a specialist provision? Join a forward-thinking school in Bexley as an Experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant and be part of an exciting new project: the first Primary SEMH provision within a mainstream school in the borough. With a significant intake of pupils planned for September, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to a provision being built from the ground up within an Outstanding Two-School Trust.
What’s on Offer:
- Competitive Outer London Salary (TA scale, dependent on experience)
- Permanent, full-time role starting in June
- 36 hours per week, term-time only
- Work within a brand-new SEMH provision in a mainstream primary setting

The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs within a primary setting
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with teachers and the wider team to deliver structured interventions
- Help create a safe, consistent and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to pupil progress tracking and pastoral support plans
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting
- Experience in PRUs, Alternative Provisions, or SEN schools is desirable but not essential
- Strong practitioners with a clear commitment to SEMH and education are encouraged to apply
- Calm, resilient and confident when supporting challenging behaviour
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Ambition to develop within a specialist provision
