This opportunity is ideal for a high-achieving graduate with strong child-centred experience looking to gain meaningful secondary school experience supporting KS3–KS4 students through English and literacy intervention.

The school has developed a strong reputation for inclusion, academic progress and SEND provision, with a Progress 8 score above national averages and well-established intervention systems across core subjects. Leaders have invested heavily in targeted literacy support, enabling students with SEND and additional learning needs to access the curriculum successfully. English outcomes remain a particular strength, supported by structured teaching, reading intervention programmes and carefully sequenced literacy strategies across KS3 and KS4.

What the school offers:

  • Full academic year contract until July 2027 with potential extension
  • Extensive SEND support teams and specialist literacy intervention staff
  • Weekly CPD focused on behaviour management, safeguarding and adaptive teaching

  • Working closely with teaching staff to monitor progress in reading and writing

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a strong English-related degree from a leading university
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong child-centred experience working with young people
