Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs in a welcoming primary school?

An inclusive primary school in Colchester is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join its team as a full-time Learning Support Assistant from September.

This opportunity is ideal for a graduate considering a career in psychology, education or child development. You will support pupils with SEND, helping them build confidence, engage with learning and develop their social skills.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with autism and other additional needs through one-to-one and small-group sessions
  • Work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and support staff to provide tailored support
  • Help maintain a nurturing, structured learning environment where pupils can develop independence and reach their potential

What We’re Looking For:

  • A recent Psychology Graduate with a 2:1 degree or higher
  • A patient, empathetic and organised individual with an adaptable approach
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to use initiative
  • Confidence using IT would be an advantage
