Primary Learning Support Assistant β Chelmsford

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team. This role would be particularly well suited to a Psychology Graduate, Education Graduate or related graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a primary school environment.
About the Role
As a Primary Learning Support Assistant in Chelmsford, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs
- Support children with accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities
- Assist pupils with developing their confidence, independence and engagement with learning
- Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development throughout the school day
- Build positive, trusting and consistent relationships with pupils
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider pastoral team
- Help create a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote good learning habits
- Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff where appropriate
