This outstanding specialist SEND school in the London Borough of Camden is seeking an experienced and organised Teaching Assistant Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech & Language needs and complex additional needs, the school is recognised for its nurturing ethos, exceptional staff development and collaborative approach to specialist education. What the Role Involves:

As Teaching Assistant Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day deployment of Teaching Assistants across the school, ensuring pupils receive effective and consistent support in line with their Education, Health and Care Plans. You'll work closely with teachers and senior leaders to allocate staffing, provide mentoring and guidance to support staff, monitor the quality of classroom support and contribute to the induction and development of new Teaching Assistants. The Teaching Assistant Coordinator will also liaise with therapists, pastoral teams and external professionals to ensure provision remains consistent, responsive and centred around the individual needs of every pupil.

What the School is Looking For:

The ideal Teaching Assistant Coordinator will have extensive experience supporting pupils with SEND and experience leading, mentoring or coordinating support staff within an educational setting. Previous experience within a specialist SEND school would be highly advantageous, although experienced HLTAs, Senior Teaching Assistants and Inclusion professionals from mainstream schools are encouraged to apply. The school is seeking a confident, organised and approachable Teaching Assistant Coordinator who can lead by example, build strong professional relationships and promote consistently high standards of support across the school.
