About this Second in Charge of English role:

  • Support the Head of English in driving standards and outcomes across the department
  • Deliver consistently excellent teaching across KS3 and KS4
  • Lead on curriculum development to ensure a rigorous and knowledge-rich English curriculum
  • Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and sharing best practice
  • Help shape assessment, intervention and attainment strategies
  • Contribute to departmental quality assurance and self-evaluation
  • Play a key role in further strengthening the English provision at The Grange Academy
