- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to secondary-aged students with ASD
- Create structured learning environments that support communication, engagement, and independence
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning profiles and abilities
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and families to support student progress
- Promote positive outcomes both academically and socially
- What the School is Looking For
- The ideal ASD Teacher will hold QTS and have experience working with students with Autism and additional SEND needs.
- Applications are also welcomed from teachers with mainstream secondary experience who have a genuine interest in transitioning into specialist education.
- The school is seeking a patient, reflective, and adaptable practitioner who understands the importance of routine, consistency, and relationship-building when supporting autistic learners.
- Experience within a SEND school, ARP, specialist provision, or inclusive mainstream setting would be highly advantageous.
