We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Safety Manager to lead building safety compliance across the Council’s residential property portfolio, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and associated legislation.
The role will oversee building safety cases for high-risk buildings, resident engagement strategies, mandatory occurrence reporting, and the delivery of the “golden thread” of building safety information. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, residents, and regulators to promote a positive safety culture, manage risk, and ensure safe, compliant homes for residents.
Key Responsibilities- Own, deliver and regularly review building safety policies, procedures, management plans and processes.
- Lead the Building Safety Case programme, including oversight of registration of in-scope buildings with the Building Safety Regulator.
- Quality assures Building Safety Case Reports and associated fire and structural risk assessments.
- Ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and secondary legislation.
