Special Education Teacher – Haringey – January Start

What the Role Involves

  • Delivering specialist provision and support for students with complex needs and learning barriers
  • Planning, adapting and delivering high‑quality lessons and interventions that enable access to the full curriculum
  • Working alongside classroom teachers, SENCo and pastoral team to ensure students make strong progress
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on pupil outcomes and developing personalised targets
  • Promoting positive behaviour, independence and life skills across primary and secondary phases

What the School is Looking For

The successful Special Education Teacher will hold a strong degree (2:1 or higher) and ideally have experience working with children with SEN, SEMH or neuro‑diverse needs. You will be proactive, resourceful, and committed to inclusive education. Excellent communication skills, resilience and the desire to collaborate across phases are essential. ECTs or more experienced practitioners are welcome – all you need is a passion to make a difference. Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary and Contract Info

  • Inner London MPS £38,766 – £50,288, with UPS up to £60,092
  • Full‑time, long‑term, term‑time only contract
  • TLR opportunities available for key roles and leadership responsibilities
