Oxbridge Graduate – Secondary Teaching Assistant & Academic Mentor

Location: Greenwich

Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)

Are you an Oxbridge graduate eager to share your academic excellence with secondary school students?

A high-achieving secondary school in Greenwich is seeking ambitious and highly qualified Oxbridge Graduates to join their team as Secondary Teaching Assistants and Academic Mentors from September 2025.

As an Oxbridge Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students in KS3 and KS4, providing tailored academic guidance, subject-specific mentoring, and exam preparation support. This role will also see you shadow experienced teachers in your subject specialism, giving you first-hand insight into classroom teaching and an excellent route towards teacher training and QTS.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group academic support for KS3 & KS4 students
  • Supporting students in your subject specialism, from high achievers to those requiring additional help
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, planning, and resources
  • Helping prepare students for GCSEs and progression to top UK universities

This role is perfect for ambitious Oxbridge graduates seeking classroom experience before pursuing a career in education or further academic study.

Qualifications

  • A 1:1 or 2:1 degree from Oxford or Cambridge University
  • A strong academic background and passion for education
  • Previous child-centred experience (preferred)
  • Commitment from October 2025 to July 2026
