What the Role Involves:

  • Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of complex SEN needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
  • Contributing to the observation, assessment, and monitoring of pupils' cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Supporting the implementation of strategies outlined in pupils' Education, Health and Care Plans under SENDCO guidance.
  • Attending and contributing to multi-agency review meetings, EHCP annual reviews, and pastoral support planning.
  • Maintaining detailed, reflective records of pupil responses and progress to inform wider school and EP team planning.

The ideal Aspiring Educational Psychologist will:

  • Hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree in Psychology from a top 30 UK university - BPS accreditation is strongly preferred.
  • Have previous child-centred experience working with pupils with SEN or complex needs in a UK school or educational setting.
  • Be reflective, intellectually curious, and compassionate with strong observational skills, excellent written communication, and a clear and committed pathway towards formal EP training.

Salary and Contract Info:

  • £450 to £530 per week, pro rata to term time only.
  • Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027.
