As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will work closely with staff and students, making the position ideal for someone passionate about student wellbeing.
The Pastoral Support Officer role runs for the full academic year, starting September 2026.
- Full-time, long-term role starting September 2026
- September 2026 – July 2027 (full academic year)
- £475-£580 per week (PAYE)
- Excellent experience for aspiring teachers, psychologists or youth workers
- Provide pastoral support when required, responding to individual and group needs as appropriate
- Support behaviour, attendance and student wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with students
- Work with Heads of Year and senior leaders
- Liaise with parents, staff and external agencies
- Help students overcome barriers to learning
- Act as a consistent and approachable Pastoral Support Officer
- 2:1 or First-Class degree from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university (preferred)
- Strong A-Level and GCSE results (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive and resilient
- Confident building relationships with young people
- Passionate about supporting students
