Deputy Nursery Manager - Bexley

Are you an experienced Early Years professional ready to step into a leadership role within a newly established setting? A high-performing Trust is opening new nursery provisions in Bexley this September, as part of a major national investment into early years education. Based within established Primary Schools, these settings are designed to improve access to high-quality childcare and provide children with a strong foundation from the outset.

This is a shift-based role, working 6.5 hours per day on a rotating weekly pattern: 6:30am–1:30pm and 12:30pm–7:30pm.

As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:

  • Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
  • Lead by example to maintain high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding
  • Assist in overseeing staff practice and supporting team development
  • Ensure a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Promote children’s language, communication, and social development

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Has experience working in a nursery setting, with supervisory responsibilities
  • Has strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Understands safeguarding procedures and responsibilities
