ASD Teacher Lambeth
Are you a qualified teacher looking to move into specialist education?
A specialist SEN school in Lambeth is looking for an enthusiastic and resilient ASD Teacher to join their team, supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs.
This is a hands-on teaching role where building relationships, understanding individual needs and adapting learning are just as important as delivering the curriculum.
The Role Teach a small class of pupils with ASD and additional needs
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
Adapt learning around individual communication, sensory and developmental needs
Support pupils with communication, interaction and social development
Use clear routines and consistent expectations
Develop independence, confidence and life skills
Manage behaviour calmly and consistently
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider SEN team
Track progress and contribute to individual pupil targets
Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment
About You
We're looking for a teacher who is:
QTS qualified
Patient, calm and consistent
Confident adapting lessons and resources
Able to build strong relationships with pupils
Comfortable working with pupils with Autism
Resilient when faced with challenging behaviour
Passionate about helping pupils make meaningful progress
Previous ASD/SEN experience is highly desirable, but not essential. Strong mainstream teachers who are considering a move into specialist education are encouraged to apply.
