A student focused School in Redbridge is looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team working across KS3 to KS5. This is a fantastic opportunity for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to gain valuable first-hand experience with SEMH needs.
The Role
- Providing pastoral support, guidance and encouragement to students
- Assisting with the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the school
- Supporting students to develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and self-esteem
- Providing 1:1 support
You Will
- A strong understanding of social, emotional and mental health needs
- Strong behaviour management and relationship building skills
- The ability to remain calm, patient and professional in challenging situations
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
