ASD Teaching Assistant starting ASAP
ASD Teaching Assistant required to join a well-established school in Hounslow.
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience supporting pupils with Autism and additional needs.
The new ASD Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD, helping to support communication, regulation, engagement, and learning. You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to implement personalised strategies and help pupils make meaningful academic, social, and emotional progress.
ASD Teaching Assistant:
Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK University
Previous child-centred experience, ideally supporting pupils with SEN or ASD
Demonstrates strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach
Builds positive and trusting relationships with young people
Works collaboratively with teachers, SEN professionals, and pastoral teams
You'll be joining a supportive school with a strong SEN provision, ongoing SEN-focused training and CPD, clear behaviour systems, and a structured induction and mentoring programme. This is the ideal role for an ASD Teaching Assistant seeking to gain valuable school-based experience, with opportunities for teacher training or extended contracts for high-performing candidates.
