A busy secondary school in Barnet is seeking a full-time Pastoral Teaching Assistant from September 2026 - July 2027.
Pastoral Teaching Assistant | The Role- Support the pastoral lead and Head of Year with the day-to-day management of a year group.
- Build positive relationships that improve attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and engagement.
- Provide 1:1 support for students facing social, emotional or behavioural challenges.
- Be flexible in responding to the needs of the school, including providing classroom support and covering lessons when required.
- Take on a range of pastoral and administrative responsibilities to ensure students receive the support they need.
- 2:1 or above from a leading UK University.
- Strong A-Level results.
- Flexible, adaptable and confident working across different year groups.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with young people.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
- Long-term role from September 2026 - July 2027.
- £500 - £550 PAYE per week (inclusive of holiday pay, term-time only).
- Ongoing training and mentoring from an experienced pastoral team.
