As a Cover Supervisor, you'll work across a welcoming secondary school with a sixth form, supporting students from Year 7 to Year 13. Cover Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise lessons across Years 7-13, ensuring students complete the work provided by their teachers.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
- Encourage students to remain focused, engaged and motivated.
- Provide additional classroom support when cover is not required.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.
The Ideal Cover Supervisor
- A degree, ideally with a minimum 2:1 classification.
- Strong academic results, including good GCSEs and ideally strong A-Levels.
- Confidence managing a classroom and communicating with young people.
- A genuine interest in education and student development.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- An ambition to pursue teacher training, potentially in September 2027.
