Are you a high-achieving Product Design graduate who is considering a career in teaching?
Would you like to gain valuable classroom experience while sharing your passion for design, creativity and practical learning with young people?
We are seeking an academically strong Product Design Graduate to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school on a temporary, full-time basis starting ASAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a 2:1 or First Class degree in Product Design, Design Technology, Engineering, 3D Design, Manufacturing or a related subject to gain meaningful classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching.
You do not need previous teaching experience.
If you have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in working with young people, this role could be the perfect first step towards a career in education.
- The Role Product Design Graduate As a Product Design Graduate, you will:
- Support the delivery of engaging Product Design and Design Technology lessons across KS3 and/or KS4.
- Use your academic and practical knowledge to help students develop their creativity, technical understanding and practical skills.
- Support students throughout the design process, from research and initial concepts through to designing, making, evaluating and refining products.
- Help students develop their understanding of materials, components, manufacturing processes and emerging technologies.
- Assist with practical activities, modelling, prototyping and the use of digital design tools.
- Build positive relationships with students and create a supportive, engaging and purposeful learning environment.
