We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join a specialist team within an autism resource provision. You will work closely with pupils, teachers and Speech and Language Therapists (SALT), supporting children's communication and development.
The Role
Work as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with autism and speech and language difficulties.
Deliver individual and small-group speech and language interventions under the guidance of a Speech and Language Therapist.
Support pupils in developing their communication, language and social skills.
Assist teachers and therapists in implementing tailored support strategies.
Help create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
A graduate with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Linguistics, Psychology or a related subject.
An aspiring Speech and Language Teaching Assistant with a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
Previous experience working with children with speech and language difficulties is desirable.
Patient, enthusiastic and confident in building positive relationships with pupils.
