Maths Academic Mentor – Maths Support Role

Are you a Maths graduate looking to gain experience in education?
A well-regarded secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a Maths Academic Mentor to support students across the mathematics department.
As a Maths Academic Mentor, you'll work with pupils in KS3 to KS4, providing classroom assistance, subject-specific intervention, and academic mentoring. You'll also support learners with SEN, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in Mathematics.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing in-class support in Mathematics lessons
- Running 1:1 and group interventions for underachieving students
- Helping with lesson resources, planning, and marking
- Supporting students with SEND or EAL backgrounds
This role is ideal for aspiring Maths teachers or those interested in supporting students in Mathematics.
We're looking for:
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Mathematics or related field
- A genuine interest in education and social development
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Commitment from October 2026 - May 2027
