- About the Attendance Officer role
- Monitor daily attendance and maintain accurate records using BROMCOM.
- Contact parents regarding absences and attendance concerns.
- Carry out home visits to engage families and remove barriers to attendance.
- Produce attendance reports and support statutory attendance procedures.
- Work closely with pastoral teams and external agencies to improve attendance.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately.
- Help create a culture where every student attends, engages and succeeds.
- Job Requirements
- Excellent organisation, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
- A resilient, proactive approach and the confidence to work with families.
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people.
- Ideally previous experience in a school attendance or administration role.
- Ideally strong knowledge or prior experience using BROMCOM and Microsoft Office.
