We are looking for a Secondary LSA to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary SEND school in Camden.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Graduate or aspiring education professional to gain valuable first-hand experience supporting secondary students with a range of additional learning needs. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a Secondary LSA, you will support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across the secondary curriculum. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, assist with interventions, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils develop confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
Secondary LSA Requirements:
- Holds a 2:1 or First-Class degree
- Has previous child-centred experience through schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings
- Is calm, patient, and consistent when supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- Can build positive, trusting, and supportive relationships with young people
- Has strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates resilience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people
- Has a strong desire to develop professionally and pursue a career in education
- Is passionate about supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
