We are looking for a Psychology Graduate to join a supportive and inclusive specialist SEND school in Camden, working as a Teaching Assistant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to gain valuable first-hand experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team committed to helping pupils develop academically, socially, emotionally, and personally.
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, including autism (ASD), ADHD and challenging behaviour. You will help pupils develop confidence, independence, communication and positive engagement with learning, while using a calm, consistent and child-centred approach.
Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Holds a Psychology degree, ideally at 2:1 or above
- Has previous child-centred experience through schools, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering, or similar settings
- Is calm, patient, and consistent when supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviour
- Can build positive, trusting, and supportive relationships with children and young people
- Has a genuine interest in SEND, autism, ADHD and child development
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrates resilience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people
- Has a strong desire to develop professionally and pursue a career in education, teaching, educational psychology or SEND
