The Role
- Cover lessons across a range of subjects when teachers are absent
- Ensure pupils complete the work provided by teaching staff
- Maintain a positive, purposeful classroom environment
- Follow school behaviour systems and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support pupils with focus, routines and access to learning
- Assist departments, pastoral teams and senior leaders when required
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor is desirable
- Graduates with tutoring, coaching, youth work or mentoring experience encouraged to apply
- Confident managing behaviour with secondary-aged pupils
- Professional, resilient and able to use initiative
- Strong literacy, communication and classroom presence
- Able to commit to a full-time role for the academic year
