An inclusive, purpose‑built primary school in Camden is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to support Reception‑aged children with autism from September 2026. Based in the award‑winning Plimsoll Building at the heart of the King’s Cross regeneration, this creative and supportive school provides for 420 pupils aged 4‑11, plus a 26‑place nursery.

The Autism Support Assistant role pays £90‑100 per day PAYE, full‑time and term‑time only. This position offers excellent experience for a Psychology, Education, Child Development or Speech and Language graduate.

In this role, you will work closely with Reception staff, the Inclusion Manager and SEND team in a school accredited as an Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence. You will gain hands‑on experience supporting communication, regulation, early learning, social interaction and independence. The school reports that children leave Reception well‑prepared for learning, with outcomes above national and local expectations.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with autism in the Early Years. You will help deliver structured routines, visual supports, sensory strategies and targeted interventions. The successful candidate will support pupils with SEND plans and, where relevant, EHCP‑linked provision and annual review targets.

Located in Camden, the school works closely with families, Camden SEN services and external professionals to support individual needs.
