The Role As a Cover Supervisor , you will:
Supervise classes in the absence of their regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure students remain focused and engaged
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy
Support students with their learning and encourage positive participation
Build positive, professional relationships with students and staff
Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and behaviour where appropriate
Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values
This Cover Supervisor role requires someone who is confident, reliable, adaptable and able to maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment.
The Ideal Cover Supervisor The school is looking for a Cover Supervisor who is:
Must hold a 1st-Class or 2:1 in their relevant degree
Confident and composed when managing a classroom
Organised, reliable and able to work independently
An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with young people
Experienced working with secondary-aged students (essential)
Consistent and confident in managing behaviour
Motivated, reflective and eager to develop professionally
A positive team player who contributes to school life
