This growing primary school educates approximately 130 pupils aged 4-11. The school delivers a unique bilingual curriculum and prides itself on its strong community values. The 1:1 SEN Support Assistant will provide dedicated support to a pupil with Autism and ADHD, implementing personalised strategies to support engagement, communication and emotional regulation. The role involves working closely with teaching staff, parents and external agencies, supporting the pupil both within lessons and during unstructured times throughout the school day, helping to create a positive, structured and nurturing learning environment, monitoring progress and contributing towards SEND support plans.
Applicants should have previous experience supporting children with SEND. Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD is highly desirable. Strong communication, patience and adaptability are essential. Candidates should be proactive, resilient and passionate about supporting young people. A background in Psychology, Education or a related field would be advantageous.
