The Unqualified Maths Teacher & SEND Support role is split 40% Maths teaching and 60% SEND support, ideal for a Maths Graduate seeking hands-on classroom experience and a pathway into teaching.

The Role | Unqualified Maths Teacher & SEND Support As an Unqualified Maths Teacher & SEND Support candidate, you will deliver Maths lessons for approximately 40% of your timetable. This is equivalent to around two days of teaching, but your teaching allocation will be spread across the five-day timetable.
The remaining 60% will focus on SEND support. You will provide 1:1 and small-group intervention, classroom support and pastoral assistance to pupils with a range of additional needs.
The school has a significant number of pupils with complex needs, SEMH needs and behavioural challenges, so the successful Maths Graduate will need to be calm, resilient and confident when managing challenging situations.
What We're Looking For The school is seeking a
Maths Graduate
with: A degree in Maths or a related subject (minimum 2:1, Russell Group desirable) A* or A in A-Level Maths required A genuine interest in teaching Strong communication and relationship-building skills Resilience and confidence supporting challenging behaviour A calm, consistent approach to SEND support Experience with tutoring, mentoring, coaching or working with young people is desirable
